25 in 2025

For the past two years I have participated in a backlist reading challenge, and I enjoyed it each time. It gave me a chance to discover new-to-me authors I had been meaning to read, and to knock some unread books off my To Be Read (TBR) list. I've decided to continue the challenge this year, with 25 books published prior to 2025 that I plan to read.

The first year I completed the challenge the books were selected at random. The second year I attempted all romance books (although a couple that were misleadingly marketed fell into the mix). This year I am hoping to read more thrillers so I will be dividing my list: 12 thrillers, 12 romance books by new-to-me authors, and the last will be a collection of non-fiction essays.

My 25 for 2025 will be:

  1.  Happy Medium by Sarah Adler
  2.  Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake
  3.  Next of Kin by Hannah Bonam-Young
  4.  If You Give a Single Dad a Nanny by Ann Einerson
  5.  The Irish Goodbye by Amy Ewing
  6.  The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest
  7.  The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce
  8.  Rules for Second Chances by Maggie North
  9.  Pride and Protest by Nikki Payne
  10.  The Seven Month Itch by Tanvier Peart
  11.  Flawless by Elsie Silver
  12.  Role Playing by Cathy Yardley
  13.  Perfectly Nice Neighbors by Kia Abdullah
  14.  The Lie Maker by Linwood Barclay
  15.  Primal Fear by William Diehl
  16.  First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston
  17.  Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney
  18.  Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins
  19.  The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth

Additional personal challenges (concurrent with the 25 in 2025) will be:
I'll continue with my weekly posts (What this Week, TBR Thursday and ARC posts on their release date) and I'll be adding in some monthly posts in addition to the Rewind Wednesday and BOTM Monday.

I'd like to add a Book Club Monday for the books I read for my local book club, a First Time Friday (similar to Rewind Wednesday, for books I am reading for the first time not associated with a challenge or ARC) and Series Saturday (to spotlight some series I've read and enjoyed).

As always, there will be cats! Mostly Sookie, and occasionally Stella.
