This is the fourth year that I will be participating in a backlist TBR reading challenge. My 23 in 2023 were chosen at random from my shelves, my 24 in 2024 list was an attempt at all romance books, and my 25 in 2025 list was a mix of romance and thrillers (with one book of essays thrown in). For this year, my 26 in 2026 will all be romances by authors that I have read before. Often, I prioritize books from new-to-me authors, so while I buy new books from authors I've already read, they sometimes get neglected!
My 26 in 2026 will be:
- When in Rome by Sarah Adams
- Mrs. Nash's Ashes by Sarah Adler
- Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
- The Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan
- Keep Me by Sara Cate
- What You Wish For by Katherine Center
- Well Played by Jen DeLuca
- Savor It by Tarah DeWitt
- Five Brothers by Penelope Douglas
- A Brush with Love by Mazey Eddings
- Deep End by Ali Hazelwood
- Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
- Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
- You with a View by Jessica Joyce
- Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas
- A Woman without Lies by Elizabeth Lowell
- Caught Up in You by Lauren Morrill
- A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston
- Grin and Beard It by Penny Reid
- Pretend You're Mine by Lucy Score
- Truly, Madly, Deeply by L.J. Shen
- The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon
- The Art of Catching Feelings by Alicia Thompson
- Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker
- The Love Plot by Samantha Young
- The Things We Water by Mariana Zapata
Additional personal reading challenges (concurrent with the 26 in 2026) will be:
- To finish the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole
- To read at least one non-fiction book per month
- To read at least one book per month from a BIPOC author
- To read at least one book per month from an indie romance author
I will continue with BOTM Monday and Book Club Monday, my ARC Tuesday posts, my TBR Thursdays (to track my 26 in 2026) and my Rewind Wednesday and First-Time Friday. I will be giving another attempt to Series Saturday posts and adding in some new posts as well:
- BIPOC Author Spotlight Sunday
- Indie Author Spotlight Saturday
- Non-Fiction Friday
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of reading year 2026 will be!
