Love Lessons is a dual POV forbidden romance. Kendall is looking to move on from a recent breakup and decides finding someone to have a fling with is the way to go. She meets Mason on a dating app, a local man not looking for anything serious. They make plans to meet up but, before that night arrives they run into each other at “meet the teacher” night when Mason appears in Kendall’s kindergarten classroom with his daughter, Finley. Dating a parent is firmly against the rules, so they call things off, but the tensions between them only grow as Mason spends time volunteering in the classroom. Kendall is growing fond of the duo but she’s worried she can’t be what they need, and Mason is worried he won’t be able to convince her that she’s exactly what’s been missing!

This was a fun read with likable characters! Neither Kendall nor Mason are where they expected to be at this stage, so they’re trying to balance next steps against happiness now. Both have lot of past trauma they’re dealing with but the overall tone of the books I’ve is lighthearted. I loved their flirting and friendship and I loved how Finley wanted them to get together. The only thing I struggled with is that I skipped book one on purpose to avoid a specific plot line, and it ended up getting talked about a LOT in this one. It was still absolutely worth the read though, loved the writing, storytelling and characters!

Kendall Devin is either too much or not enough—it depends on which of her recent boyfriends you ask. Fed up with relationships, she dives into the world of casual Tinder hook-ups instead. She’s horrified to discover the man she’s been sexting for the past week is the father of one of her kindergarteners.

Mason Reed recently gained full custody of his daughter, Finley, and moved back into his overbearing parents’ house. He has no time for relationships—and he especially doesn’t need any added drama in his or Finley’s lives. So while Kendall has caught his eye, he knows getting romantically involved with his daughter’s teacher is a bad idea.

The two attempt to forget about their connection, but with Mason volunteering at school at every given opportunity, that proves to be difficult. Not even planning the school’s fall festival can distract Kendall from Mason’s flannel-wrapped charm. And the more they’re together, the harder it is for either of them to resist temptation.

Mason is the first man who makes Kendall truly feel seen, and he can’t stop imagining her becoming part of his family. To him, she's perfect. But how could this possibly work?
