The Daddy's Girl is a dual POV age gap romance. When Amelia's father and his best friend, Matis, retired, they turned their sex club in Paris over to Amelia, her brother, and four other children of close family friends. Amelia isn't sure that running the club is the right fit for her; she has big dreams of designing her own fashion line and winning a coveted design internship, and even bigger dreams of convincing Matis to see her as more than just a little girl now that she's 25! Matis, at 53, is finally thinking that he might want more from life than empty no-strings sex, but his goddaughter Amelia is not someone he would ever consider dating. But she's making it hard to ignore the fact that she's an adult who knows her own mind, and the life she's offering him is a temptation that is too hard to resist. But there is more at stake here than their own emotions and desires, and Amelia and Matis have to figure out if there is a way forward where they can both be happy that doesn't isolate their family and loved ones!

I enjoyed this one, but I will admit that the 28-year age gap was a bit of a challenge for me at times. I generally don't mind an age gap, but I like for the characters to be at the same stage in life with their goals... at times they seemed well matched, but at others it just didn't seem like they were aligned well. Matis reconsidering whether he was willing to have children and Amelia offering an open relationship even though it wasn't what she really wanted made me second-guess a little, but it all worked out well in the end. Overall, I did think it was really well written, and I enjoy Sara Cate's books, so even if it requires a bit of suspension of disbelief, I usually have a good time.
